Alice Yim S/S '12 Lookbook Photoshoot

I have been interning with designer Alice Yim for about two months now, and we recently had our shoot for the Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook and Ad campaign.  It was such a great experience and I even had the chance to assist the stylist and help style a portion of the lookbook.  This collection is so amazing -- from the rare silk fabrics, to the perfectly "designed for a woman" silhouettes.  The collection will be shown at the Coterie trade show in September in NYC at the Javits center.  I'll be there, so if any of you guys are attending then stop by the Alice Yim booth!

Sarah Healy Jewelry

So today I stopped by Sarah Healy's showroom in Brooklyn to drop off some items we used for the Alice Yim Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook shoot. I immediately fell in love with Sarah's jewelry! The medusa snake cuff is 18K gold! Isn't it amazing? But my all time favorite is the T-rex necklace. I am adding that to my fall wishlist! Take a look at all of Sarah's jewelry here.

Sally Hansen Review

Day 1: I applied the Sally Hansen Salon Effect nail strips in literally 10 minutes. The application process was super easy, and they came out perfect! When I use regular polish, I always run into the issues of chipping and dullness after only a few days. If these strips passed those two tests...then I would be officially hooked!

Day 7: Okay, so these strips have lasted shine-wise, but they have begun to lift at the corners. I applied a top coat to try and stop this but it didn't work too well. I mean, they still look decent and better than they would have if I had painted them with regular polish. So overall, I do recommend these nail strips for the ease of use, and shine...but I just wish they lasted a little longer.
